Convention Workshops
On Friday February 12, delegates get to experience hands-on workshops. You do not have to decide which workshop you would like the most, organizers have worked into the schedule enough time that everyone can participate in all three workshops:
|
Wildlife & Outdoor Photography
Make the most of your “point and shoot” or go beyond and use professional techniques to capture dynamic images of the great outdoors - winter, spring, summer, or fall. Make the best photos by paying attention to light, composition, lens choice, developing your vision, and more. Whether you are out scouting in the field, in the snow, photographing sunsets, deer, elk, flowers, or any other wildlife or outdoor scene, you'll benefit greatly from this workshop. |

Winter Survival in the Wilderness
Whether you are out fishing, hunting, hiking, taking pictures or just enjoying the great outdoors, you could find yourself stranded in the middle of a terrible snow storm in Saskatchewan. Taking a few precautions and heeding some tips can make the difference between surviving safely, complete with all fingers and toes, or not. You will not want to miss this course. |

Maximizing Your GPS
Did you get a GPS for Christmas and not sure what to do with it? Have you been using you GPS for a while but think you could be getting more out of it? Then this workshop is for you – it will lead you through the basics of GPS navigation. Learn how to use your pocket-sized navigator to pinpoint your location, mark waypoints, plot courses, and create routes. Learn about using online maps and transferring route and waypoint information to the GPS. You will also be introduced to some of the fun and practical applications of using a GPS unit in your outdoor activities. You will get hands-on experience with a GPS unit. |
