Saskatchewan Provincial Tournament on Target

Moose Jaw, SK - The Saskatchewan National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP) Provincial Tournament will be held Saturday, March 20 at the Yorkton Regional High School.

“We are really excited about this tournament. The program has grown immensely since it started back in 2007 and over 50 schools are now participating in NASP across the Province. One of the points that makes this program so amazing is that it appeals to a variety of athletes.” says JeanAnne Prysliak, Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation Education Coordinator and NASP Coordinator for the province.

“We have a huge increase of students in attendance this year at provincials and are close to doubling in numbers”

Over 200 students from across the province will gather in Yorkton aiming for the provincial awards.  Some of the students have traveled to the USA for international competitions and should provide some exciting action for spectators.

“Come out and show your support for archery in the schools and to cheer on the kids,” said Prysliak.

“It all kicks off at 9:30 in the morning and ends with an awards supper banquet.”
