Elk
Elk prefer large blocks of forest land, and often travel in groups.

Large males can stand one and a half meters tall , while the female (or cow) is smaller. They have a shaggy mane on their necks and a pale patch on their rumps. The bulls have large, long antlers sweeping back from their foreheads.

Hunters or photographers can often get close to elk by imitating their whistle or their long, loud bugling sound.
