Badger
Badgers specialize on eating ground squirrels and pocket gophers but are also fond of mice, snakes and birds.

A healthy badger population is probably the most effective means to manage ground squirrel populations.

Even rattlesnakes end up on the menu of badgers in the southwest corner of Saskatchewan. Badgers appear to be immune to rattlesnakes' poisonous bite.
