Make a Donation
In Saskatchewan, we are blessed with pristine lakes, natural spaces, abundant wildlife and we all have special memories built around the enjoyment of these fragile resources. The Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation is a non-profit organization with a mission to ensure that the wild life legacy we leave to our children surpasses that which we inherited. We rely solely on membership, fund-raising and donations to operate.
Monetary donations are greatly appreciated, and if desired, can be directed to specific programs or projects of the Federation, and are tax-deductible.
When a donation is made in memory of a loved one, a card is mailed to the specified next of kin in the name of the donor. The donor receives a tax-deductible receipt (Donations of $10 or more). Many people choose to make bequests through their estate.
Wills and Bequests
Planning your will is one way of ensuring you provide for those you care about. In addition to planning for those you love and who are dependent on you, your will also allows you to benefit the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation through a gift of money, property and other assets. Depeneding on their size, bequests may provide tax relief to the estate.
Gifts of Insurance
Did you know that if you purchase a life insurance policy with the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation registered as the beneficiary, you are eligible to receive a tax deductible receipt for all premiums paid each year? This allows you to make a substantial gift without taking on a large expense.
Land & Other Tangible Assets
A donation of land provides immediate benefits for wildlife in the area. The Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation provides a tax receipt immediately and public recognition for the donation.
Charitable Gift Annuities
A charitable gift annuity is a way of donating an irrevocable gift to the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation in return for guaranteed income for the rest of your life. The portion of your gift not used to provide the annuity income is used by the Federation as you direct.
Cash & Marketable Securities
You will receive tax benefits immediately following your donations of cash, bonds, shares of publicly traded companies and mutual fund certificates.
Benefits
The most immediate benefit from your planned gift is the personal satisfaction that comes from knowing you have aided the survival of Saskatchewan's wildlife. You may have provided trees and other shelter for a number of species, or sponsored a youth conservation program. At the same time, you will receive certain tax benefits according to the style of your gift. The Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation gives public recognition to its donors, so that future generations will know how you made a difference.
Whatever your gift intentions may be, we advise you to discuss them with your own financial, legal or tax advisor. When you are ready to proceed, please give us a call and we will be pleased to work with you to develop a gift which is personally satisfying and financially advantageous to you and will bring a maximum benefit to Saskatchewan's wildlife.
